This first image is a study from TAD that shows the different types of light acting on a form.
Below are a few little setups that are rendered with the information above in-mind, while also trying to practice more on the halfway to black scale.

Below, After working on the smaller setups I thought it would be best to recreate what was happening to better understand some of the instances of ambient light, bounce light, and occlusion shadows. So I made a little box with a mirror underneath, out of heavy paper.
